The new recovery room of the Pediatric Surgery Department at LKH Graz was designed to provide better conditions for surgeries and create more space for young patients. Special attention was given to the design in order to create a pleasant environment for the children and their parents.

The project involved expanding the recovery room from six to nine beds and increasing its size to 90 square meters. Despite the construction work being carried out while the hospital was operational, the implementation was completed within a 14-week construction period. The planning phase began in June, the remodeling work commenced in September 2020, and the handover of the new recovery room took place in December 2020. Lorenz Consult was entrusted with project management, architectural planning, and local construction supervision.
