Vienna / Graz, March 10, 2025 – A new goods supply center for ÖBB Infrastructure has been built in Vienna's Brigittenau district. Lorenz Consult was responsible for local construction supervision, including overall coordination. The handover and commissioning for users took place in mid-February 2025. The outdoor facilities of the new logistics hub will be completed by mid-March 2025.

Vienna / Graz, March 5, 2025. The civil engineering firm Lorenz Consult has recently moved into its new office space in Vienna's Simmering district. The branch of the Graz-based company covers an area of approximately 235 square meters and provides a modern workplace for eleven employees. Additional staff are being sought.

Vienna / Graz, January 9, 2025. What are the current food trends for 2025, and how do they impact the production, processing, and packaging of food? Cleanrooms play a central role in this context. They are becoming increasingly common in the food sector due to their primary benefit: reducing particle and bacteria concentration in the air, and thus also on and in the products themselves. "Especially in light of current food trends, cleanrooms play a crucial role," says Christian Lorenz, Managing Director of Lorenz Consult.

After just nine months of construction, the new extension for the upcoming RFID-controlled "Laundry Carousel" at LKH-University Hospital Graz has been completed. The facility was officially commissioned on October 29, 2024.
The architectural design was carried out by EDERER, HAGHIRIAN ARCHITEKTEN ZT-GmbH, while Lorenz Consult was responsible for the structural planning and on-site construction supervision.

Everyone is talking about AI. A real hype has emerged around Artificial Intelligence. Meanwhile, digitalization and the automation of numerous planning and construction processes in the construction industry are gaining momentum. What role will AI play in this in the future? What are the advantages and disadvantages of its use in civil engineering and general planning, and which AI applications are already being used? Christian Lorenz, Managing Director of Lorenz Consult, addresses these questions.

In the Styrian village of Radochen, an energy-self-sufficient equestrian facility has been established. Lorenz Consult was responsible for general planning, structural engineering, MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) planning, as well as local construction supervision. The facility was built in 2022, and recently, a solarium and a salt chamber were added.

Lorenz Consult achieved a remarkable revenue increase in the 2023 fiscal year, rising from 7.7 million euros in 2022 to 12.4 million euros – a growth of 61 percent. Founded in 1972, the company now employs over 60 staff members across four locations, providing a full range of construction-related planning and supervision services. These services cover sectors such as healthcare facilities, cleanrooms for pharmaceuticals, food, and electronics, industrial and steel construction, as well as planning technology, 5D-BIM, and digitalization in construction.

The WKO Styria is making a visible statement for securing skilled labor with the Center of Excellence. Spanning approximately 14,200 square meters, an innovative educational campus is being built, offering space for state-of-the-art workshops and new qualification programs. The unique aspect of this project is that the construction is taking place while operations continue. Due to this, the project was divided into two construction phases. Lorenz Consult is responsible for the onsite construction supervision, as well as building and building services engineering. The first construction phase was completed in March 2024.

The University of Vienna, together with four other universities in Vienna, is set to receive a new book depot, which will be realized as a climate-friendly and energy-saving hybrid timber construction. The roof completion ceremony took place on June 5, 2024. Lorenz Consult, responsible for the general planning, structural engineering, and building services of the project, celebrated the successful roof completion with its partners.
